Ending ceremony for 'Trained by experts for 1 USD', 2008 (Day 6/22/2009)

January 10, 2009, an ending ceremony is hold to conclude the program 'Trained by experts for 1 USD', which was co-organized by AUSP - FLC of VNU, and kiemviec.com - VON. Outstanding students in the program get rewards and a certificate in the ceremony.

After 2 months of running, there were totally 16 classes, and 8 interviews for more than 1,500 students from 10 colleges and universities in HCMC. Advised by the experts, 46 best students were selected to to be awarded with 'Mastering the interview' certificates, issued by AUSP and kiemviec.com. The certificate earners are those who have taken the English test and the IQ test with the average score of 7 and above. They also have successfully completed the interview hold by HR managers from many different companies in HCMC. During the interviews, many students' profiles were also kept in the companies' records for  the corporations' personnel planning and development. Besides, AUSP and FLC also have a special policy to reduce school fee for those who have participated in the program when they need to enhance their English knowledge.

Representing the experts, Mr. Piers Allbrook says:” I acknowledge that Vietnamese students are really better at English in the recent years. They are all well prepared in terms of language skills for a job and for their future. I believe that the program has provided these students with necessary information and knowledge to improve themselves, to market their skills, and to stay calm during interviews with the strictest yet professional potential employers".

Ms Xuan Luu, representative from university of Economics, speaks heartfully:" I'm very grateful for AUSP and VON joint-stock company to offer such a helpful program so that my friends and I can improve the skills as well as the experience. Those things that I can learn from these experts are really can't be found at school. I think that these skills are really important for the students, particularly those senior ones".

The 2008 program ended with 46 outstanding students. The orgranizers, together with the experts of the program, promise to be back in the next year with a similar but much bigger program on the occasion of new school year of 2009.
