Grow a passion for English
All who learn English wants to speak it fluently. They feel blissful when they think that one day they will be able to do it. However, they usually do not pay enough attention to themselves in the whole progress of language learning. Most of them think of studying English like a task they must complete rather than something they really want to do. It is like a duty, and that makes them uneasy while learning this language.
In short, most people want to speak English like a native speaker but they do not like to study it. This is the first, and also the most challenging obstacle for the learners, because when they do not like it, they are not likely to do it well. For this reason, to learn it better, do remember that "If you don't love English, English won't love you back".
To study English proficiently, you need to pay some attention to you yourself in the studying progress. Spend as much time for English study as for entertainment or recreation. For instances, here are what you can do in free time:
- Read English sentences and figure out the structures within them.
- Look up vocabulary items in a dictionary.
- Write correct English sentences in terms of both structure and meaning by refering from dictionaries, grammar books, and web pages.
- Practice pronouncing English sounds and words.
It would be wonderfully useful if you take up English learning. Why don't you think of English as a recreation that takes top priority?

Commiting the first change in your life
A decision to study English will lead to certain changes in your life. For instance, you decide to spend 30 minutes a day on reading an English book, and you have to keep it going on and on. It is certainly difficult for make a small yet long-term change in your life, particularly when English learning is not as interesting as enjoying your time or playing sport. However, do keep in mind that learning English 15 minutes a day is much more efficiently useful than learning it for a whole day a month.

Make more changes in your life
Short-coming changes prove to be just as difficult as the first one. Many a learner can overcome the first obstacle, e.g.: they can keep the habbit of reading English everyday, but they just stop there: they cannot do any more learning activities.
A real learner of English will know how to combine learning activities (e.g.: reading book, watching TV, pronouncing sounds, listening to radio...), and they just know what will suit their mood at different moments. If you only learning English in a single way, such as by reading books, you will soon feel enough of it, and you do not want to learn it consequently. Besides, doing the same activities also limit other language skills. One example is when you only read English books, you can improve your knowledge about structure, vocabulary, reading skill, and writing skill, but it in no way can enhance your pronunciation.
So, determine and practice your best way of English learning, so that you can feel excited with this foreign language!
